QA Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assess user stories and acceptance criteria early on, posing questions that reveal gaps and edge cases prior to code development.

• Create and update clear test cases, test plans, and checklists for new functionalities.

• Conduct manual functional, exploratory, regression, and cross-browser/device testing.

• Record defects with detailed reproduction steps, evidence, and severity, ensuring they are followed through until resolution.

• Execute regression and smoke tests before releases and provide a definitive go/no-go recommendation.

• Validate fixes and assist with release and post-release evaluations in production.

• Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes, documentation, and test data management.

• Share product knowledge with the broader team and assist Customer Success colleagues when issues arise.

• Collaborate within a cross-functional product squad alongside developers, product managers, and project managers during Agile sprints.

• Engage from the refinement phase through to release.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of practical experience testing web or mobile applications in a commercial environment.

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing fundamentals (including test types, test design techniques, and defect life cycle).

• Experience in writing test cases and documenting bugs effectively.

• Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools.

• A systematic, inquisitive mindset with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical team members.

• Experience utilizing AI to enhance and automate testing processes.

• Some experience with test automation is preferred.

• Basic SQL knowledge for validating and preparing test data is advantageous.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions, and version control using Git is desirable.

• Understanding of accessibility (WCAG), performance, or security testing is a plus.

• Experience in testing B2B SaaS or multi-tenant platforms is desirable.
