Senior QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead quality engineering initiatives within a cutting-edge Workforce Management and Customer Experience platform.

• Take ownership of test automation across the entire testing pyramid, which includes unit, component, integration, contract, end-to-end, and performance testing.

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test frameworks utilizing Playwright and/or Cypress, JUnit, along with contemporary test automation methodologies.

• Construct and implement automated unit, component, integration, contract, API, end-to-end, and regression test suites.

• Manage component and integration testing of microservices, ensuring the validation of service behaviors, data flows, and API contracts.

• Design and execute performance and load tests to assess scalability, throughput, and response times during peak contact-center operations.

• Develop and automate test scenarios for Workforce Management features, such as forecasting, schedule generation, and scheduling rules and constraints.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and domain experts to set acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.

• Evaluate defects, identify root causes, and propel quality enhancements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Set quality engineering standards, develop reusable automation assets, and formulate test strategies across various product streams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in QA Automation.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing component and integration test suites for Java microservices.

• Proficiency with Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers, WireMock, or REST Assured.

• Strong practical experience with Playwright and/or Cypress using TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with contract testing methodologies, such as Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.

• Experience with performance and load testing tools and practices like JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

• Background in testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience in testing Workforce Management forecasting and scheduling engines or other intricate rule-based business systems.

• Proven experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Familiarity with Contact Center, CX, CCaaS, Routing, or Voice platforms is a plus.

• Understanding of telephony, IVR, call flows, agent routing, and customer interaction systems is advantageous.
