Senior QA Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the testing strategy for essential e-commerce journeys and integrations.

• Develop and sustain a UI E2E test suite in Playwright utilizing TypeScript.

• Organize Page Object/Screenplay patterns, fixtures, test data, and parallel execution.

• Conduct cross-browser, responsive, and stability testing within CI.

• Create and automate REST API tests and, when relevant, GraphQL tests.

• Implement consumer-driven contract tests among the Frontend, BFF, and APIs.

• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines featuring quality gates, reports, and documentation.

• Support acceptance criteria, DoR/DoD, and ensure traceability between requirements, stories, tests, and evidence.

• Collaborate with React Frontend, Java Backend, Architecture, UX/UI teams, and stakeholders in Scrum/Kanban settings.

• Conduct root cause analysis, defect triage, and promote continuous improvement.

• Monitor execution metrics, recurring failures, flakiness, and overall pipeline duration.

• Deliver a reliable Playwright E2E suite for prioritized journeys.

• Provide API and contract test coverage for critical BFFs/APIs integrated into CI/CD.

• Generate auditable reports and evidence with traces and Jira links.

• Establish standards and documentation to foster the evolution of automation and facilitate handover to the company’s team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in QA.

• Over 5 years of experience in QA for complex web applications, acting as a technical reference.

• Advanced expertise in Playwright for UI E2E automation, preferably using TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Page Object/Screenplay patterns, fixtures, test data, and parallel execution.

• Experience with cross-browser execution in Chromium, WebKit, and Firefox.

• Background in responsive testing, CI stability, sharding, and execution in containers/CI.

• Strong experience in REST API testing; GraphQL knowledge is desirable when applicable.

• Understanding of authentication, pagination, versioning, and contract validation.

• Practical experience with Pact contract testing and/or OpenAPI/JSON Schema validation.

• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD, including pipeline debugging and headless testing.

• Knowledge of Docker for running and resolving issues in automated test suites.

• Understanding of enterprise integrations utilizing Kong API Gateway and Keycloak IdP.

• Experience with structured logs, Playwright traces, and JUnit/Allure reports or similar.

• Familiarity with Jira + Xray/Zephyr/TestRail.

• Senior-level profile with autonomy, capable of prioritizing based on risk/value and negotiating test scope.

• Proficient communication skills in Portuguese.

• English reading and writing abilities for documentation and interaction with global teams.

• Collaboration with Development, UX, and Architecture teams to promote shift-left practices.

• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and/or Spartacus/Composable Storefront is a plus.

• Background in complex B2B environments is advantageous.

• Experience with SAP ECC/S/4HANA integrations is a plus.

• Knowledge of axe-core, Lighthouse, k6, and/or JMeter is a plus.
