Senior Python Engineer, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for backend features and enhancements, overseeing the process from design to implementation, deployment, and production support.

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable, high-performance backend services utilizing Python and Django.

• Construct and uphold integrations with KYC, geolocation, payment partners, and various third-party services.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and execute new integrations.

• Establish observability throughout integration workflows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.

• Develop unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability, avert regressions, and enhance test coverage.

• Address production issues and engage in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of development experience.

• Proficiency in Python as the primary programming language.

• Extensive experience in API and system integrations.

• Demonstrated success in integrating third-party APIs.

• In-depth knowledge of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure management.

• Familiarity with observability tools for monitoring and troubleshooting production integrations.

• Strong foundational skills in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.

• Experience in designing architectures for highly loaded and scalable solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring.

• Experience with payments and KYC integrations is a significant advantage.

• Background in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments is a plus.

• Experience in writing automated tests, assessing test coverage, and establishing test automation strategies is a bonus.

• Familiarity with Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana is an advantage.

• Experience in the sports/betting industries is a plus.
