Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and develop technology solutions that span across the enterprise, including applications, data, infrastructure, cloud, and AI capabilities.

• Create and uphold architecture strategies, roadmaps, standards, and governance artifacts for designated portfolios.

• Generate technical solution designs and recommendations that align with enterprise architecture standards and business goals.

• Oversee the architecture and design of both hybrid and cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Assess emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and industry trends to uncover opportunities for innovation and modernization.

• Execute proofs of concept and technology evaluations to confirm solution feasibility and business value.

• Guarantee that architecture designs comply with security, regulatory, risk management, and compliance requirements within a financial services setting.

• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and integration challenges, and formulate strategies for mitigation.

• Provide architectural advice throughout project lifecycles, from business case development to implementation.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, and senior leaders.

• Facilitate architecture reviews and engage in governance processes.

• Assist in enterprise transformation programs and intricate cross-functional projects that involve multiple technology domains.

• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for senior leadership concerning technology strategy, cloud adoption, AI, and best practices in enterprise architecture.

• Implement risk management principles and ensure compliance with enterprise policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and security controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology architecture roles.

• Required experience in the banking, financial services, wealth management, insurance, or capital markets sectors.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise technology solutions.

• Experience leading architectural initiatives in complex, highly regulated environments.

• Demonstrated success in supporting cloud transformation and modernization projects.

• Familiarity with integrating AI, machine learning, or generative AI capabilities into enterprise technology solutions.

• Strong expertise in architecting solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.

• Proficiency in enterprise application architecture, systems integration, APIs, and microservices.

• In-depth knowledge of AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and contemporary data platforms.

• Advanced comprehension of security architecture, identity management, encryption, and regulatory controls.

• Experience in designing resilient, scalable, and highly available technology solutions.

• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models, and technology strategy development.

• Exceptional critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.

• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Ability to influence executive and senior leadership teams through technical knowledge and strategic insights.

• Deep understanding of financial services operations, risk management, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills.

• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and devise innovative solutions to intricate business challenges.

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certifications are preferred.

• Experience with enterprise AI strategy, Generative AI, Responsible AI, and AI governance frameworks is preferred.

• Knowledge of modern data architecture, analytics, and cloud-native development practices is preferred.

• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives in financial institutions is preferred.
