Senior Python Engineer, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Take complete responsibility for backend features and enhancements from design to implementation, deployment, and production support.

• Design, develop, and manage scalable, high-performance backend services utilizing Python and Django.

• Construct and sustain integrations with KYC, geolocation, payment, and other external systems.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to define and deliver new integrations.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across integration workflows.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and enhance test coverage.

• Assist with production issues and take part in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of development experience.

• Proficiency in Python as the primary programming language.

• Extensive experience in API and system integrations.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating third-party APIs.

• In-depth knowledge of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling.

• Familiarity with observability tools.

• Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.

• Experience in designing architectures for highly loaded and scalable solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring.

• Readiness to participate in on-call rotations.

• Experience with payments and KYC integrations is a significant advantage.

• Background in early-stage startups and dynamic engineering environments is a plus.

• Experience in writing automated tests, assessing test coverage, and formulating test automation strategies is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana is advantageous.

• Experience in the sports/betting industries is a plus.
