Senior Python Engineer – Global Digital Media

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-performing backend services using Python.

• Build and enhance applications based on microservices to support global content distribution workflows.

• Develop and integrate REST APIs that connect internal enterprise systems.

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure along with deployment pipelines.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing backend production services.

• Contribute to frontend application development and UI functionality when necessary.

• Collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team on Q4 deliverables.

• Navigate a complex existing codebase and begin contributing swiftly.

• Participate in code reviews, discussions on technical architecture, and agile delivery planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience in software engineering with a focus on Python backend development at a senior level.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.

• Practical hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, CodePipeline, and CodeBuild.

• Extensive background in designing, developing, and securely consuming REST APIs.

• Strong grasp of software architecture and principles of scalable backend design.

• Ability to work independently, quickly acclimate, and deliver value within existing production codebases.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Practical experience with modern frontend frameworks.

• Proficiency in JavaScript.

• Experience with React is a significant advantage.

• Preferred experience in media, publishing, content distribution, or marketplace platforms.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and cloud-native development environments is highly regarded.

• Previous success in short-term or high-urgency delivery projects is beneficial.

• Must be currently residing in Latin America.
