Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Croatia.

📋 Description

• Effectively operate within a dynamic, deadline-oriented, collaborative, and iterative programming atmosphere.

• Design, develop, and sustain intricate products by assessing current limitations and crafting innovative solutions.

• Take initiative to design and implement integrations with various applications and services.

• Uphold best practices in code development; assist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.

• Enhance the performance, maintainability, and functionality of the codebase.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to conduct code reviews.

• Work with the team to pinpoint and clarify detailed requirements.

• Support Scrum/Agile software development processes, including sprints, standups, retrospectives, planning, pointing, and grooming.

• Develop impactful, real-time clinical workflow solutions tailored for inpatient care settings.

• Create scalable Python backend services, API integrations, and fundamental platform capabilities.

• Design data pipelines for efficient operations within modern healthcare facilities.

• Engage in interview panels for prospective roles across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional coding experience utilizing Python.

• Strong skills in Object-Oriented design and development.

• Proficient understanding of programming patterns.

• Familiarity with AWS.

• Experience in working with databases (Postgres) and optimizing queries.

• Expertise in API design (REST API, OpenAPI).

• Proven experience in building scalable systems.

• Solid understanding of security/access control, scalability, high availability, and concurrency patterns.

• Code management experience with GIT.

• Background in working with Scrum teams.

• Proficient in spoken and written English at a minimum Upper Intermediate level.

• Employment is contingent upon submission of documentation verifying legal work authorization in the country of residence.
