Lead SAS Developer – SAS to Python Migration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical aspects of the migration from SAS to Python, overseeing the process from design through to implementation.

• Establish coding standards and conduct code review sessions.

• Take full ownership of the project from start to finish.

• Transition SAS scripts and workloads into Python.

• Develop and troubleshoot SQL and Python code.

• Create unit tests to ensure code quality.

• Organize and execute jobs on Linux/Unix using CRON.

• Utilize Git/GitHub, SAS Enterprise Guide, and JupyterHub in the workflow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python (Anaconda), SQL, and SAS.

• Experience with Netezza and Redshift databases.

• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and CRON scheduling.

• Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control.

• Skills in unit testing and debugging processes.

• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide and JupyterHub platforms.

• Demonstrated technical leadership in migration projects or similar initiatives.

• Understanding of GitHub Copilot is a plus.
