Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage production backend services and APIs in Python using FastAPI.

• Execute retrieval workflows that encompass RAG, embeddings, and vector search.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to make informed technical decisions.

• Ensure systems remain clean, reliable, and easy to extend.

• Troubleshoot and assess AI-generated code when it encounters issues or is confidently inaccurate.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience in professional software engineering.

• Solid software engineering fundamentals with a proven ability to create reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems.

• Experience with ML/AI systems in a production setting.

• Native or fluent English proficiency.

• Utilizes AI as a primary tool for authoring, with the capability to define suitable levels of model autonomy.

• Skilled in critically evaluating and troubleshooting AI-generated code.

• Legally permitted to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future.

• Must be physically located in the US during work hours.

• Preference for candidates in the Eastern time zone, with a minimum of six hours of daily overlap with the hours of 9:00–17:00 ET.

• Outstanding proficiency in Python.

• Exceptional command of FastAPI and related technologies.

• Experience with production APIs supported by PostgreSQL.

• Competency in Docker for development and deployment.

• Strong understanding of version control, CI/CD, environments, and debugging practices.

• Familiarity with retrieval workflows (RAG) and embedding-based search.

• Experience in early-stage startups is advantageous.

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code is beneficial.

• Background in Natural Language Processing is a plus.

• Familiarity with at least one front-end framework is an added advantage.
