Senior Public Sector Field Marketing Specialist

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Public Sector field marketing strategy across federal, state, local, and education sectors.

• Collaborate with Public Sector Sales leadership to formulate quarterly and annual marketing plans that align with pipeline, revenue, account priorities, and overall business objectives.

• Create integrated, multi-channel campaigns utilizing digital programs, content, webinars, executive engagement, account-based marketing (ABM), events, and partner initiatives.

• Design targeted ABM and account engagement strategies for key agencies, organizations, and strategic opportunities.

• Interact with decision-makers across security, workforce development, procurement, and technical departments.

• Articulate Hack The Box’s value proposition for Public Sector audiences in partnership with Product Marketing and Content.

• Formulate pre- and post-event strategies to transform conferences and field activities into demand-generation, account engagement, and pipeline acceleration initiatives.

• Work together with Partner Marketing and Sales on collaborative demand-generation projects with channel partners, government contractors, resellers, and technology partners.

• Recognize opportunities for thought leadership, customer advocacy, executive engagement, and community building.

• Oversee the marketing budget and prioritize investments based on strategic relevance and pipeline impact.

• Set and monitor KPIs such as account engagement, qualified pipeline, opportunity acceleration, and attributed or influenced revenue.

• Deliver regular performance insights and continuously refine the strategy based on campaign outcomes and sales feedback.

• Establish the Public Sector marketing strategy, Sales alignment, key audiences and accounts, initial campaigns, and measurement framework within the first six months.

• Collaborate with AMER Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, Content, Digital, Brand, Communications, and Marketing Operations teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of B2B marketing experience, encompassing field marketing, demand generation, account-based marketing, or integrated campaigns.

• Proven experience marketing to Public Sector audiences, particularly in federal, state, local, or education markets.

• Background in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, workforce development, or another intricate technology domain is highly preferred.

• Ability to create integrated campaigns that contribute to pipeline and revenue, rather than solely executing events.

• In-depth understanding of Public Sector audiences, sales cycles, procurement considerations, and partner ecosystems.

• Experience working closely with Sales teams to identify priorities, select accounts, and develop coordinated account-engagement strategies.

• Practical experience with marketing automation, CRM, ABM, and reporting tools such as HubSpot.

• Capability to balance strategic planning, creative thinking, analysis, and hands-on execution.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple programs, stakeholders, deadlines, and budgets.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• A collaborative and proactive mindset with the confidence to lead cross-functional initiatives within a dynamic global organization.

• Requirement to be located on the US East Coast or Central US.

• Engagement in Hack The Box’s application and interview process, inclusive of a job-related assignment.
