Senior Public Relations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Bloomerang’s earned media strategy and create a proactive pitch pipeline.

• Oversee media relations and pitching across various tiers, technology sectors, and nonprofit trade publications.

• Develop and sustain relationships with reporters in the sector and industry.

• Assess outlet and placement opportunities by analyzing share-of-voice impact and AI-citation visibility (GEO/AEO).

• Author and secure placements for bylines, op-eds, and press releases featuring executives.

• Manage timely trendjacking responses to evolving news cycles.

• Oversee the awards submission calendar and compose applications.

• Monitor placements, share of voice, coverage quality, and differentiate between earned and paid or sponsored coverage.

• Handle podcast and Substack pitching and placements.

• Utilize AI tools to tailor pitches, track opportunities, and draft content while preserving brand voice and editorial standards.

• Collaborate closely with the Director of Brand Communications to ensure media activities align with the brand narrative.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in public relations or media relations is required.

• Ideally possess in-house or agency experience in B2B, SaaS, or technology sectors.

• Proven history of securing earned media placements and discerning valuable stories to pursue.

• Established connections with journalists and editors focused on technology, SaaS, or the nonprofit sector.

• Strong writing abilities across pitches, bylines, op-eds, and press releases.

• Capability to act with same-day responsiveness on trendjacking and reactive media opportunities.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude for pitch personalization, media monitoring, and content drafting.

• Experience in managing an awards submission calendar and podcast placement pipeline.

• Proven experience collaborating directly with C-suite executives to shape and promote their perspectives.
