This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.
• Prepare responses to proposals for high-priority and complex business development opportunities.
• Collaborate closely and independently with clinical subject matter experts to create tailored, comprehensive responses and budgets for Sponsors.
• Assist the Business Development (BD) team during internal and external client calls and meetings.
• Support budget reviews and address any inquiries.
• Offer strategic insights on budgeting methodologies.
• Understand and communicate proposal requirements effectively.
• Develop proposal content in alignment with RFP/RFI requirements alongside internal stakeholders.
• Summarize essential information for proposal submissions.
• Document assumptions and review final proposals to ensure quality and alignment with Sponsor expectations.
• Maintain proposal tools, templates, graphics, and experience tables.
• Assist BD Managers with RFIs, presentations, and client interactions.
• Support the development of Statements of Work.
• Generate and refine CRO cost estimates utilizing Alimentiv tools.
• Acquire pre-award budgets from vendor and site partners.
• Verify consolidated costing prior to executive review.
• Assist with costing amendments, updates, and project change orders.
• Clarify final costing to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend and facilitate bid/no-bid discussions, strategy sessions, and project hand-off meetings.
• Support bid defenses, internal project teams, clinical teams, and site feasibility assessments.
• Develop BD tools and provide feedback for ongoing improvements.
• Generate BD reports.
• Participate in conferences as required for booth and meeting support.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• At least a post-secondary certificate/diploma (college, training institute, etc.) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in budget development within a CRO, clinical trials, or a similarly regulated and complex environment is highly desirable.
• A science degree or diploma is preferred.
• Prior experience in budget building for CROs and clinical trials is mandatory.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Proficient with other Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A logical and process-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management skills are essential.
