This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of state and district RFP responses as well as submissions for instructional materials adoption.

• Oversee the entire submission process from the initial review to confirmed receipt.

• Analyze solicitation documents, rubrics, attachments, and addenda.

• Create compliance matrices that detail eligibility criteria, required responses, supporting evidence, forms, submission rules, and deadlines.

• Develop project plans that include stakeholders, milestones, review cycles, and internal deadlines.

• Manage multiple submissions concurrently.

• Identify disqualifiers, ambiguous requirements, and resource limitations.

• Prepare clarification questions and escalate decisions that require leadership or specialist input.

• Compose executive summaries, curriculum narratives, implementation plans, and other substantive proposal responses.

• Customize responses to align with state or district priorities, evaluation criteria, and scoring rubrics.

• Translate input from curriculum and product experts into clear explanations of instructional design, standards alignment, research, assessment, differentiation, and implementation support.

• Verify claims and supporting evidence.

• Coordinate materials related to standards alignment, research documentation, pricing, certifications, contractual exceptions, samples, and reviewer access.

• Review and refine contributor materials while consolidating drafts.

• Conduct final checks for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

• Complete portal uploads and manage electronic or physical delivery.

• Maintain submission records and ensure receipt confirmation before deadlines.

• Keep a calendar of state adoption windows and district RFP opportunities.

• Collaborate with Sales to evaluate eligibility, product compatibility, and submission readiness.

• Provide recommendations on bid/no-bid decisions.

• Maintain an organized library of approved narratives, evidence, standards documentation, and submission materials.

• Track submission outcomes and solicit feedback from evaluators.

• Enhance workflows and quality checks to minimize recurring errors and reduce the need for rework.


⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 4–7 years of relevant experience in proposal writing and management.

• Experience in managing state or district education RFPs, instructional materials adoption submissions, or similar public-sector procurements.

• Outstanding writing and editing abilities.

• Proven experience as the primary writer of persuasive, evidence-based proposals.

• Capability to interpret detailed solicitation requirements.

• Proficient in building compliance matrices.

• Skilled in writing to formal evaluation criteria.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Track record of coordinating contributors and meeting overlapping deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail and responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of final submissions.

• Ability to work independently, formulate effective approaches to new tasks, resolve issues, and enhance processes.

• Ability to learn and clearly articulate pre-K/TK, elementary social studies, and elementary core ELA curricula, including instructional strategies and implementation requirements.

• Preferred: experience in educational publishing, curriculum procurement, or state instructional materials reviews.

• Preferred: familiarity with early childhood instruction, inquiry-based social studies, knowledge-building ELA, and the science of reading.

• Preferred: experience in preparing standards alignment documentation or coordinating curriculum evidence for formal reviews.

• Preferred: APMP certification or training in a recognized proposal methodology.

• Must be based in the U.S.
