
Senior Proposal and Pursuit Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Manage the development of proposals and market strategies, focusing primarily on the Transportation Sector.
• Provide leadership throughout the pursuit development processes.
• Direct cross-functional pursuit teams and oversee the execution of proposals within set deadlines.
• Collaborate with the leadership of the Transportation Sector and proposal teams.
• Co-facilitate go/no-go meetings and offer recommendations.
• Cultivate relationships with subconsultants and external partners to form marketable project teams.
• Oversee the creation, management, and delivery of assigned proposals, including task delegation, writing, graphic design, and coordination with technical personnel.
• Maintain ultimate accountability for the quality and submission of assigned proposals and deliverables.
• Guide the planning and development of presentations and interviews with sector leaders.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff as required.
• Offer strategic insights based on pre-capture and capture initiatives.
• Contribute to the strategic plans, business plans, marketing efforts, and client-focused strategies of the company and sector.
• Network and develop client relationships alongside the business development team.
• Engage in client service plan assessments, strategy meetings, and pursuit kickoff sessions.
• Identify opportunities in alignment with strengths, weaknesses, sector objectives, and qualifications.
• Assess and improve sales performance.
• Track sales goals, KPIs, lessons learned, resource allocation, recruitment, and forecasting efforts.
• Analyze sector performance in relation to goals and firmwide objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of industry experience managing large, complex A/E/C proposals and leading proposal teams.
• Experience in marketing within the Transportation sector and capability to support multi-sector strategies.
• Strong emphasis on developing and implementing quality assurance throughout the proposal process.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personnel, including senior leadership, technical staff, and project teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to rapidly assess issues and devise and implement solutions.
• Skill in managing multiple concurrent assignments and swiftly adjusting priorities.
• Organizational and time management abilities, with adaptability for changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
• Proficiency in Adobe products, including InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Legal authorization to work full-time in the U.S.A. without sponsorship.
