Senior Project Manager, Water/Wastewater Treatment Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee multiple projects to ensure all commitments regarding timelines, quality, and communication are fulfilled.

• Collaborate directly with clients to define project timelines and manage expectations.

• Lead the design projects for water treatment plants.

• Act as the primary project manager and foster strong client relationships.

• Recruit, guide, and manage staff and sub-consultants during project execution.

• Create marketing strategies and build an independent client portfolio.

• Establish and lead a water/wastewater engineering practice.

• Mentor professionals and contribute to the growth of the practice.

• Progress towards becoming a Principal and a leader in the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• A Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater projects within a design/engineering consulting framework.

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is mandatory.

• Proven success and expertise in water treatment design.

• Strong understanding of engineering principles related to water and wastewater utilities, including wells, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, and treatment systems.

• Documented history as a problem solver in client-facing roles.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to oversee multiple projects while adhering to time, quality, and communication commitments.

• Ability to recruit, lead, and manage staff and sub-consultants.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
