Senior Project Manager – Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Proactively oversee projects to ensure successful completion from initiation through to delivery and closure.

• Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams through meetings and progress tracking activities.

• Manage project requirements, scope, and issues related to change management.

• Assess, track, and evaluate project economics, including expenses, operational budgets, staffing needs, resources, and risks.

• Ensure compliance with legally binding obligations.

• Support the development of project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects by utilizing integrated project management tools.

• Oversee project forecast projections for clients and Red Hat.

• Organize, schedule, track, and report on project activities, including monitoring subcontractors.

• Set metrics to measure essential project criteria.

• Create project status reports.

• Lead status review meetings with project team members and clients.

• Implement and apply industry-standard project management and technical delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, Systems/Software Development, and Product Development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a project manager.

• Proven history of successfully managing complex projects from start to finish.

• Background in establishing and contributing to process enhancements.

• Experience handling intricate projects and working with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and business acumen.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse management team and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• A healthy mix of business and technical expertise.

• PMI / Agile methodologies certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with OpenSource technologies is a plus.

• An active Australian Government security clearance at NV1 level or higher.
