Senior Project Manager – Medicaid, Health and Human Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Overseeing extensive Medicaid or HHS modernization projects from the planning phase to implementation.

• Managing the scope, timeline, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies of the project.

• Creating and upholding integrated project plans.

• Leading executive steering committees and governance meetings.

• Coordinating efforts across business, technical, vendor, and client organizations.

• Simultaneously managing multiple workstreams.

• Promoting project accountability among cross-functional teams.

• Tracking project health through KPIs, milestones, and performance metrics.

• Preparing presentations, dashboards, and status reports for executive-level stakeholders.

• Maintaining RAID logs and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.

• Assisting with procurement, contract management, and vendor coordination tasks.

• Ensuring adherence to applicable state, federal, and CMS regulations.

• Aiding in organizational change management and readiness for implementation.

• Identifying opportunities to utilize AI and automation for enhanced project execution and delivery efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of Project Management experience directing complex technology initiatives.

• More than 5 years of experience supporting Medicaid, Health & Human Services, or other governmental technology programs.

• Proven experience managing projects valued over $5M and involving multiple stakeholder groups.

• Strong grasp of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

• Experience leading project teams that are geographically distributed.

• Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Experience in facilitating workshops, governance meetings, and executive briefings.

• Strong skills in risk management and problem-solving.

• Capability to balance strategic planning with the daily execution of projects.
