Senior Project Manager – Guidewire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee project planning, resource distribution, and monitoring to ensure projects remain on track and within budget while applying agile methodologies.

• Inspire cross-functional teams to achieve deadlines and deliverables, cultivating a cooperative and agile working atmosphere.

• Responsible for delivering technical projects punctually, within financial limits, and achieving successful results.

• Create detailed project plans that include scope management, deliverables, milestones, resource management, financial oversight, and quality assurance.

• Handle multiple projects/scrum teams simultaneously, ensuring robust adherence to Agile methodologies.

• Lead backlog grooming sessions with cross-functional teams.

• Maintain and prioritize the requirements backlog effectively.

• Work in partnership with Product Management to facilitate sprint planning sessions.

• Actively eliminate obstacles for project teams.

• Track and communicate project status, manage interdependencies, and identify critical milestones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications.

• At least 8 years of experience in Agile, Scrum, project management, or a related field within a software development team.

• Demonstrated success in leading agile transformations through effective coaching and team transitions.

• Proficient in MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.

• Over 10 years of experience in the insurance sector managing Property/Casualty Information Technology projects.

• Experience with Policy and Claims management systems is preferred, especially with an emphasis on Guidewire.
