This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead and execute intricate projects vital to Amentum's strategic goals.
β’ Establish and uphold project governance frameworks while ensuring adherence to project management standards.
β’ Strategize and implement large, multifaceted projects by defining scope, objectives, deliverables, costs, timelines, business cases, and success metrics.
β’ Create project management plans, resource allocation strategies, and risk management methodologies.
β’ Steer projects from initiation to benefits realization, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met.
β’ Cultivate relationships with senior executives, department heads, external partners, and other stakeholders.
β’ Lead, guide, mentor, and motivate cross-functional project teams.
β’ Identify, evaluate, document, and address project risks and challenges.
β’ Formulate contingency plans and escalation procedures.
β’ Design and implement strategies for managing change adoption.
β’ Evaluate and monitor change requests while securing approval from decision-makers.
β’ Oversee project resources, project codes, external resources, and material assets.
β’ Develop and manage project budgets, forecast financial outcomes, analyze discrepancies, and provide financial reporting.
β’ Maintain project schedules, plans, documentation repositories, and risk/issue tracking systems.
β’ Conduct quality assurance, process enhancement, lessons-learned, and best-practice initiatives.
β’ Facilitate meetings, presentations, project reviews, status updates, and executive communications.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.
β’ Generally 8 years of experience in managing Information Technology/Services and/or Acquisition Integration projects.
β’ Bachelor's degree or Technical Certification in a relevant field.
β’ Knowledge of PMI's project management methodology.
β’ Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, Agile, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable; PMP is preferred.
β’ Significant experience in successfully leading and delivering large-scale, complex projects.
β’ Experience in managing government contracts or projects.
β’ U.S. citizenship is required.
β’ May require security clearances for multiple contracts.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint.
β’ Proficiency in Smartsheet is mandatory.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of PMI's project management methodology.
β’ Ability to occasionally work extended hours to accommodate contractual obligations.
β’ Capacity to work under tight deadlines.
β’ Industry-specific knowledge in Cyber, Infrastructure, or Application Development is preferred.
