
Senior Project Manager – Communication Systems for Critical Infrastructures

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee project execution from the proposal stage through to the conclusion of the warranty period, which includes Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), delivery, and commissioning.
• Implement project management best practices as outlined in the Project Management Handbook and specific product-line instructions, with an emphasis on handover checks, project gate reviews, and project closure.
• Enhance the unit's operational performance by delivering precise forecasts for financial KPIs, including revenue, cash flow, and contribution margin.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding contract administration.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations with the customer through clear communication and consistent interaction via phone, email, customer meetings, and regular reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Purchasing, and Finance departments to execute projects effectively.
• Provide monthly updates on the progress of action plans along with revenue and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and deliver project review presentations.
• Maintain thorough documentation and records of all executed projects.
• Manage resource planning and team workload to achieve a billable ratio of 90% or higher.
• Lead EHS/safety initiatives and performance, ensuring full compliance with GE rules and processes, and confirm that project teams (both internal and subcontracted) are adequately trained and qualified.
• Assist sales teams by sharing lessons learned (ROEs) that enhance project cost efficiency and delivery times.
• Develop and implement a contract/change management strategy that serves GEV’s interests.
• Contribute to the organization’s growth by independently managing variation orders (change orders) for projects as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering from an accredited institution or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant industry experience.
• Prior experience in telecommunications/network or IP field operations.
• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an EPC/turnkey environment.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a project team of 3 to 6 individuals.
• Proficiency in both German and English is mandatory.
• Technical expertise in IP, MPLS, or SDG protocols, industrial wireless technologies, protection and control technology, routers and switches, and powerline carrier is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel: 20%.
