Senior Project Manager – Building Science & Resiliency

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take the lead in ensuring the safety of team members and all stakeholders.

• Guide project teams in the execution of technical project tasks.

• Perform senior-level reviews and manage client relationships as necessary.

• Support the Manager in formulating and executing regional strategies that align with Company objectives.

• Supervise project budgets and ensure staff remain focused on their tasks.

• Engage with clients and participate in client and industry organization meetings/events.

• Cultivate strong relationships with current clients while also acquiring new ones.

• Direct project teams by offering guidance, mentorship, and coaching.

• Promote a collaborative and results-oriented culture.

• Identify work opportunities and prepare/review proposals for prospective projects.

• Assist the Manager in fostering effective people management and career development.

• Concentrate on growth and developing successors for key positions.

• Participate in professional organizations, attend conferences as needed, and/or contribute to technical committees.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the construction/building industry.

• A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report.

• At least 1 year of prior management experience.

• Technical knowledge of building enclosure systems (waterproofing, roofing, facades, glazing, fenestrations, air/vapor barriers, etc.) and construction.

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong technical writing capabilities.

• Willingness to travel 30% of the time outside the immediate region.

• Proficient in the typical Microsoft Office Suite to support and manage business operations.

• Capacity to visit projects/job sites and work outdoors in all seasons.

• Ability to work from ladders, boom lifts, scaffolds, swing stages, and rooftops.

• A technical or bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, architecture, construction management, etc.).

• Possession of Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Licensed General Contractor credentials is advantageous.

• IIBEC, LEED, CSI, PMI, or other industry certifications are preferred.

• Capability to bring building science projects to the team.

• Familiarity with relevant construction and testing standards (ASTM, AAMA, etc.).

• Proficient in training staff on the setup and execution of tests.

• Strong graphic communication skills (sketches/drafting).

• Skilled in detailed analysis (calculations/modeling).

• Experience in the forensic evaluation and rehabilitation of existing building enclosures.

• Background in the commissioning of building enclosures.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture or a related field.

• Technical or advanced training in Construction Management Services or a related field.

• 4 years of experience in Building Enclosures.

• 4 years of experience in Architecture.
