Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution and provincial rollout of essential work streams within the B.C. Digital Referrals & Orders program.

• Create, sustain, and monitor project plans that encompass timelines, scope, dependencies, and resources in alignment with PHSA PMO standards.

• Generate program status dashboards and oversee budgeted, planned, and actual financials.

• Manage risks and issues while providing updates to the Project Director and Program Steering Committees.

• Collaborate with Clinical Leads to determine change management needs, workflow effects, and organizational readiness criteria.

• Implement scope change controls and oversee task execution by the delivery team.

• Facilitate acceptance sign-offs from sponsors and leadership.

• Manage technical and workflow dependencies across streams.

• Supervise testing and assist in the formal transition of deliverables into operations.

• Chair project team meetings and lead multi-stakeholder workshops.

• Document decision points and coordinate with external vendors and partner health authorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• At least 5 years of recent, direct project management experience in leading complex multi-stakeholder IT/health transformation projects.

• Practical experience managing multiple projects simultaneously using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• Strong working knowledge of health IT integrations, including EMRs, CISs, HIEs, CDS, and provincial data assets and registries such as EMPI and PLR.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Demonstrated skill in translating complex technical ideas for clinical and executive audiences.

• Advanced proficiency in Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.

• Direct project experience within the British Columbia Health Sector is preferred.

• Active PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

• Experience in large-scale provincial clinical digital transformations or population/public health systems is preferred.
