Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of multiple ongoing projects, programs, or strategic customer orders from the point of order hand-off through to the final project closeout.

• Act as the main customer liaison throughout the project execution, fostering relationships with key customer stakeholders.

• Develop project execution strategies, timelines, milestones, deliverables, communication plans, and acceptance criteria that align with contractual commitments.

• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, execution reviews, risk assessments, and project closeout procedures.

• Oversee project scope, authorize change management processes within assigned authority, and coordinate necessary approvals when needed.

• Address complex technical, commercial, operational, and execution challenges that may affect project outcomes.

• Provide leadership and guidance during escalated project scenarios that necessitate cross-functional decision-making.

• Coordinate activities among engineering, manufacturing, field service, procurement, logistics, quality assurance, vendors, subcontractors, customers, and leadership teams.

• Maintain accountability for project financial health, including forecasts, margins, revenue recognition, cash flow, milestone billing, and cost management.

• Conduct customer visits, supplier meetings, manufacturing audits, and site inspections as necessary.

• Ensure that project activities adhere to established company policies, customer specifications, contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and quality management system requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Generally requires 8-12+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Typically demands 5+ years of project management experience in supporting electrical equipment, rotating machinery, energy systems, manufacturing, industrial systems, or large capital projects.

• Proven experience in managing complex, customer-facing technical projects is essential.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, and the principles of project lifecycle management.

• Advanced understanding of electrical industrial systems, rotating equipment, motors, generators, power electronics, and system integration.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems, and project management tools, with SAP experience preferred.
