This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee projects in alignment with company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), regulatory standards, and financial as well as contractual commitments.
• Strategically plan and actively manage cross-functional study teams, including Site Management, Data Management, Statistics, Medical Writing, Regulatory, and Safety.
• Ensure that milestones are met and that studies are conducted within budget, on time, and to the quality standards required.
• Identify key project tasks and challenges, and propose actions to accelerate project goals.
• Act as a senior governance contact for the escalation of issues.
• Deliver projects punctually, within the defined scope, budget, and applicable quality benchmarks.
• Manage strategic aspects of projects while identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
• Supervise and mentor Project Managers as needed.
• Engage with clients to manage relationships, ascertain needs, and assess business solutions.
• Create and sustain project plans and timelines, while monitoring progress.
• Ensure that study team members receive training on project-specific systems and procedures.
• Formulate, execute, and uphold effective business practices.
• Assess and evaluate project performance.
• Oversee budgets, profitability, and timely invoicing.
• Analyze profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization in collaboration with Finance & Accounting.
• Manage project resource distribution in conjunction with line managers.
• Facilitate both internal and external communications, escalating issues to management as necessary.
• Maintain relationships with third-party partners and vendors.
• Oversee high-level organizational deliverables.
• Take part in capability presentations and bid defense sessions.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
• Support Business Development initiatives, proposals, and final reviews.
• Contribute to the development of procedures, guidelines, SOPs, metrics, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist in the selection of Project Managers and provide feedback on team performance.
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a life science field, or a diploma in Nursing.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager in global oncology studies.
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical research regulations that govern the conduct of clinical trials and applicable quality standards.
• Expertise in Early Phase (I and II) trials.
• Thorough knowledge of project planning and performance metrics.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
• Experience in attending or leading bid defense meetings.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational abilities with a demonstrated capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficient internal and external negotiation skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be home-based in Spain.
