Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversees the planning and execution of medium to large-scale critical gas infrastructure projects with varying degrees of complexity.

• Aids in business development by engaging in project scoping, fee structuring, proposal creation, interviews, negotiations, and contract formulation.

• Evaluates assigned project(s) post-award to establish project scope, determine work processes/sequences, and formulate schedules, budgets, staffing plans, vendor lists, and progress billing milestones.

• Engages with client management as needed throughout the project lifecycle to address issues and secure approvals upon project completion.

• Fosters ongoing business relationships with clients as part of continuous business development initiatives.

• Plans, organizes, communicates, and coordinates project engagements effectively.

• Manages the daily operations of project engagements, including interactions with clients and project teams.

• Strives to meet project goals related to quality, scope, budget, and timelines.

• Assesses project performance and resource allocation.

• Recognizes potential work that falls outside the established scope.

• Oversees and negotiates changes to contracts.

• Identifies and manages project risks from the proposal stage through the project's entire duration.

• Trains, mentors, and supervises other Project Managers while participating in portfolio and project evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the Gas Utility Industry.

• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in Gas Transmission and/or Distribution initiatives.

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from an accredited institution (preferred but not mandatory).

• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not mandatory).

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred but not mandatory).

• Solid understanding of financial management principles.

• Proven track record in managing large, multi-disciplinary programs, projects, multi-office engagements, and/or multiple concurrent projects.

• Comprehensive knowledge of various gas infrastructure project types (transmission, distribution).

• Excellent relationship development and management skills.
