Senior Project Manager

📋 Description

• The Sr. Project Manager at OneSix is tasked with leading Client projects and coordinating global, cross-functional OneSix teams to guarantee that solutions are delivered punctually, within budget, and in accordance with the established scope, timeline, and cost parameters.

• They serve as the primary Point of Contact for Clients on a daily basis and collaborate closely with the Technical Lead on the project to guide and support the broader delivery team.

• The Project Manager is accountable for the planning, scheduling, and supervision of all project activities and deliverables, applying technical, theoretical, and financial skills to meet project requirements while cultivating positive professional relationships with Clients and the delivery team.

• Develop and maintain a delivery roadmap that aligns with the client’s priorities, backlog, and upcoming initiatives.

• Ensure a thorough understanding of the Client's business objectives, clearly defining success, setting expectations, and ensuring they are met.

• Establish well-defined project parameters that support the success of both internal and client team members.

• Create and manage all project schedules, detailing scoped activities, deliverables, tasks, sequences, work effort, and resource requirements.

• Oversee project execution, adhering to established processes and procedures, and utilizing appropriate tools for both macro roadmaps and individual projects.

• Assist the team in negotiating and managing project scope, ensuring alignment and focus among all project team members, and promptly addressing obstacles to maintain progress.

• Mentor and manage Project Managers, providing guidance, oversight, and professional development support to ensure consistent delivery excellence across all engagements.

• Forecast, track, and manage project budgets, burn rates, and expected revenue recognition based on the fee structure, while monitoring the budgetary and profit impacts resulting from decisions made during the project lifecycle.

• Guarantee that all project deliverables meet OneSix’s quality standards and adhere to brand standards and templates.

• Organize and manage all project communications, both internal and external, ensuring that information is clear, efficient, and actionable.

• Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as necessary to ensure project success.

• Collaborate creatively and flexibly with Clients and internal teams to address scope and budget challenges, ensuring successful outcomes.

• Understand and articulate client business needs and goals to the internal team, advocating for those needs throughout the project lifecycle.

• Cultivate a positive and productive team atmosphere by establishing clear success criteria and supporting the growth and success of all team members.

• Maintain high standards of professional integrity, managing team performance and dynamics with the guidance of OneSix Leadership.

• Build strong relationships with clients to position OneSix as a trusted partner, proactively identifying and communicating opportunities for account expansion to leadership.

• Engage in business development by proposing solutions for anticipated client needs, including overseeing scoping, estimation, and proposals for new opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A proven history of successfully delivering software or technology implementation projects ranging from $500k to $1MM, utilizing agile or waterfall principles while adhering to budget, timeline, scope, and resource constraints.

• Experience in a professional services environment, such as a consulting firm or agency.

• Proficient in managing multiple simultaneous engagements with delivery teams of 2-4+ FTEs across various fee structures (e.g., Time & Materials, Fixed Fee) and delivery models (e.g., Project, Retainer, Managed Services).

• Demonstrated effectiveness in managing both external and internal clients, with a particular focus on senior-level stakeholder engagement.

• A strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to project management.

• Exceptional multitasking skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.

• Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and listening—with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, promoting collaborative environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques.

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with financial concepts, including margin and revenue recognition across various fee structures and contract types.

• Experience in project estimation and drafting SOWs, Change Orders, etc.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project (or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (or similar).
