Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee large-scale, intricate, cross-functional projects and workstreams in a Health IT/EHR modernization setting.

• Create and manage detailed, interdependent project plans from inception through to execution.

• Convert program requirements, goals, and stakeholder feedback into project timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.

• Propel execution in scenarios where scope, requirements, and ownership of work are unclear or changing.

• Track project performance and recognize risks related to schedules, resources, dependencies, and execution.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze intricate project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.

• Validate the status reported by stakeholders using project data, scheduling details, and operational proof.

• Identify bottlenecks, emerging threats, missed dependencies, and potential impacts on critical milestones.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate mitigation strategies and implement corrective measures.

• Align cross-functional stakeholders and leadership on objectives, priorities, dependencies, and decisions.

• Facilitate discussions, pinpoint gaps, and establish actionable strategies moving forward.

• Operate within a matrixed, client-facing, multi-vendor environment.

• Convey complex information, data, risks, and dependencies to aid leadership decision-making.

• Cultivate relationships with government clients, program leadership, vendors, technical teams, and functional stakeholders.

• Enhance project execution, reporting, governance, and decision-making protocols.

• Develop repeatable project management practices, tools, templates, and governance frameworks.

• Analyze project data to uncover root causes, trends, dependencies, and impacts.

• Formulate data-driven recommendations and advance issues to resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, healthcare, project management, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of project management experience, ideally in complex Health IT, healthcare technology, EHR, or large-scale IT implementation initiatives.

• Proven experience in leading intricate, cross-functional projects involving diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in developing and managing complex, interdependent project schedules in Microsoft Project.

• Experience in translating business, technical, or program requirements into thorough project plans.

• Familiarity with highly matrixed, client-facing, and/or multi-vendor environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a clear focus on detail.

• Proven ability to identify project risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and possible schedule effects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights.

• Demonstrated capacity to influence stakeholders and guide decision-making processes.

• Experience thriving in environments with changing requirements or limited process maturity, with the ability to refine processes.

• Capacity to obtain and sustain a Public Trust, as required by the program.

• Preferred experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization or implementation initiatives.

• Preferred experience in developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) or similarly complex integrated timelines.

• Preferred experience with PMO governance, project controls, or portfolio/program reporting.

• Preferred experience in implementing project management process enhancements in a low-maturity environment.

• PMP or another recognized project management certification preferred.

• Preferred experience coordinating multiple technology vendors and implementation partners.
