This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +2 more states.
β’ Oversee engineering and construction operations during the pre-construction and construction stages of new initiatives, as well as modifications to existing projects.
β’ Offer insights on costs, timelines, and other essential factors for the construction and operation of energy facilities.
β’ Supervise budgets and schedules throughout the engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
β’ Create contracts related to design, procurement, and construction during the pre-construction period.
β’ Guide project engineers and construction site managers to ensure that milestones are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
β’ Negotiate and oversee engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
β’ Provide project management services for multiple wind and thermal energy projects on behalf of the owner.
β’ Lead a team of professionals delivering technical expertise and project assistance throughout design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
β’ Supply regular updates to senior management regarding project activities, advancements, and challenges.
β’ Foster a culture of safety awareness throughout project design, construction, and operations.
β’ Assist in conducting technical due diligence.
β’ Anticipate capital budget expenditures on assigned projects.
β’ Support plant operations, including enhancements, equipment procurement, breakdown analysis, and corrective measures.
β’ Implement and utilize process feedback systems, quality audits, and strategic initiatives to identify efficiencies and enhancements.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction for electric generation projects.
β’ At least 5 years of experience in project development or management.
β’ Proven verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
β’ Competency in Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.
β’ Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract management.
