Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee engineering and construction operations during the pre-construction and construction stages of new initiatives, as well as modifications to existing projects.

• Offer insights on costs, timelines, and other essential factors for the construction and operation of energy facilities.

• Supervise budgets and schedules throughout the engineering, procurement, and construction phases.

• Create contracts related to design, procurement, and construction during the pre-construction period.

• Guide project engineers and construction site managers to ensure that milestones are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.

• Negotiate and oversee engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

• Provide project management services for multiple wind and thermal energy projects on behalf of the owner.

• Lead a team of professionals delivering technical expertise and project assistance throughout design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.

• Supply regular updates to senior management regarding project activities, advancements, and challenges.

• Foster a culture of safety awareness throughout project design, construction, and operations.

• Assist in conducting technical due diligence.

• Anticipate capital budget expenditures on assigned projects.

• Support plant operations, including enhancements, equipment procurement, breakdown analysis, and corrective measures.

• Implement and utilize process feedback systems, quality audits, and strategic initiatives to identify efficiencies and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction for electric generation projects.

• At least 5 years of experience in project development or management.

• Proven verbal and written communication abilities.

• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

• Competency in Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.

• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.

• Preferred: Familiarity with construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract management.
