Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution of intricate, high-value technology programs for enterprise clients across global networking and managed services settings.

• Oversee projects valued at $5M and above within technology and managed service frameworks.

• Manage up to three simultaneous projects based on their size and intricacy.

• Take ownership of projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from pre-sales engagement and design to operational handover.

• Establish and direct Project Boards and virtual project teams, including the management of other Project Managers as needed.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications and stakeholder engagement.

• Facilitate internal and customer project meetings, including weekly status updates.

• Generate project status reports and governance documentation.

• Develop and maintain Project Initiation Documents, detailing scope and customer-critical success factors.

• Monitor project progress using tracking tools, Microsoft Project, and established project management methodologies.

• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.

• Oversee project budgets, including cost tracking and forecasting.

• Ensure compliance with change control and governance standards.

• Produce documentation specific to customer needs.

• Track and report project efforts against contracted services.

• Assist in quality assurance activities and governance reviews.

• Manage escalations and ensure timely issue resolution.

• Enhance project management methodologies, templates, and best practices.

• Support product launches and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Mentor junior members of the Project Management team.

• Collaborate with Bid Management teams on large and complex customer opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree qualification or substantial professional experience in an IT environment.

• Over 5 years of Project Management experience in ISP Managed Services, Enterprise Networking, or ICT sectors.

• Proven experience managing project budgets exceeding $5M.

• Experience leading large, intricate customer programs involving multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.

• Strong background in project governance, risk management, change control, and stakeholder management.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Project and structured project management methodologies.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience in managing project forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and escalation processes.

• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management capabilities.

• Experience in mentoring and supporting junior project management professionals.

• Background in Telecommunications, Technology, or complex B2B services environments.

• Familiarity with SD-WAN and Security solutions.

• Prince II Practitioner, APMP, or another recognized project management certification (preferred).
