Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee integrated delivery for VA AI task orders.

• Maintain portfolio roadmaps and facilitate SAFe cadence within AI teams.

• Manage relationships with platform partners and compile evidence to support VA investment and scaling decisions.

• Develop comprehensive project plans for contract deliverables and products currently in development.

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, overseeing project status, budgets, schedules, and status reports.

• Evaluate project challenges and create solutions to achieve productivity, quality, and client satisfaction objectives.

• Establish mechanisms for monitoring projects, intervening, and resolving issues.

• Guide projects through design, implementation, and testing phases.

• Define requirements and orchestrate project lifecycle deployment.

• Supervise professional and technical support staff.

• Schedule tasks and coordinate team members effectively.

• Oversee vendor task integration and assess vendor deliverables.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and evaluate project deliverables.

• Conduct project meetings and manage project tracking, analysis, and reporting.

• Administer integrated roadmaps and schedules across task orders in Jira Plans with clear cross-team dependencies.

• Maintain milestone plans and continuous deployment forecasts.

• Serve as the primary delivery lead with the VA, ensuring vendor partners meet sprint, quality, and traceability standards.

• Function as scrum master and establish Jira and Confluence standards.

• Typically report to a Program Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in leading agile multi-team programs.

• Proficient in Jira (Plans/Advanced Roadmaps, epics and initiatives, JQL, dashboards) and Confluence space design.

• Experience in delivering AI, data, or digital modernization initiatives for a federal agency.

• Proven track record in managing subcontractor or platform partner delivery.

• Ability to write clearly and concisely for executive audiences.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background investigation.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

• Preferred background in technical or product development (software engineering, data science, or product management).

• Preferred active Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or SAFe SSM).

• Preferred certifications such as SAFe SPC, RTE, or POPM; PMP.

• Preferred working knowledge of generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI evaluation and model governance.

• Preferred experience with VA or VHA, including familiarity with VA OIT, VAMF, and ATO processes.
