This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee all facets of project management for designated projects, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resource management.
• Administer projects that involve design engineering, licensing, equipment procurement, and the development of new product offerings.
• Provide direction and strategic oversight for project teams.
• Create and sustain comprehensive project plans, milestones, and timelines.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and business policies.
• Monitor project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Negotiate contract terms and manage change orders related to scope modifications or non-standard events.
• Mentor and support junior project managers.
• Cultivate specialized knowledge in nuclear energy and remain updated on technical advancements.
• Utilize technical expertise for data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal functions, vendors, customers, and Product Line Leaders to define and execute deliverables.
• Act as the primary contact for specific service contracts.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• Equivalent experience or education in the nuclear industry may be considered, such as a Senior Reactor Operator with 5 years of project management experience.
• At least 3 years of experience managing medium- to large-scale projects in heavily regulated sectors such as oil & gas, energy, aerospace, and medical devices.
• PMP Certification or the capability to obtain it within 6 months.
• Proven experience in the nuclear industry, with a robust understanding of nuclear project requirements.
• Extensive background in the nuclear power sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing intricate projects with an emphasis on instrumentation and controls.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions in complex scenarios.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to GE Vernova and customer sites.
• Capability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if applicable.
