This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead cross-functional teams encompassing electrical, software, RF, mechanical, and project coordination.
• Facilitate the delivery of customer development agreements and product launches.
• Oversee strategic customer interactions, including Annual Development Agreements.
• Take ownership of project scope, timeline, and budget management.
• Communicate updates regarding project changes, risks, and strategies for mitigation.
• Manage several concurrent projects with changing priorities and evolving technical requirements.
• Act as the primary external contact for assigned projects.
• Foster technical and program-level discussions with customer stakeholders.
• Lead both internal and external project meetings.
• Prepare and present executive-level project reviews and status updates.
• Ensure projects comply with Digi's engineering quality standards and documented processes, including SDLC, stage-gate, and time-tracking.
• Identify and resolve issues to maintain project timelines.
• Document lessons learned and promote process improvements within the Design Services team.
• Encourage effective utilization of Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and financial tracking systems.
• Lead product development and integration projects involving embedded systems, IoT devices, Digi ConnectCore SOMs, Android/Linux drivers, MCU/XBee modules, and cellular connectivity.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–12+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8–10 years with a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of technical project management experience.
• Proven leadership in full product lifecycle development projects, including tracking, planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Experience in managing engineering teams and customer-facing deliverables, preferably in an embedded systems or IoT setting.
• A solid history of delivering projects punctually and within budget in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Experience in cultivating successful customer relationships, particularly with large or strategic clients.
• Expertise in scope management, scheduling, and budgeting for product development initiatives.
• Capability to lead business development endeavors, including proposal drafting and customer engagement.
• Ability to drive changes across the organization, product, customer, tool, process, and metrics.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, including the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
• Ability to manage strategic customer relationships and serve as a trusted partner to both internal and external stakeholders.
• PMP or PgMP certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite SuiteProjects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulated development environments is preferred.
• Experience in complex, highly technical internal engineering settings is preferred.
