This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Ensure the safe, timely, and budget-compliant installation of DI equipment, adhering to project specifications.
• Lead the initiation of projects, oversee production and procurement, manage budget and schedule controls, and facilitate project closure.
• Maintain work sites that are safe and healthy, in accordance with company standards and legal regulations.
• Direct complex, multi-phase projects that hold strategic significance.
• Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders.
• Develop and execute risk management plans along with contingency strategies.
• Monitor the performance metrics of the project portfolio and report findings to senior leadership.
• Propel continuous improvement initiatives throughout project execution processes.
• Conduct post-project reviews and sessions to glean lessons learned.
• Assist in business development through proposals and presentations to clients.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to Project/Construction Manager I-level personnel.
• Work collaboratively with finance and operations to enhance resource allocation.
• Lead the coordination of permitting and interconnection with utilities and regulatory organizations.
• Ensure adherence to environmental mitigation strategies and safety regulations.
• Manage the selection of subcontractors, define scopes, and track performance.
• Oversee RFIs, change orders, and close-out documentation.
• Maintain project documentation utilizing Procore and other project management tools.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, coupled with 6+ years of experience in the energy or construction sectors, OR a High School Diploma with at least 8 years of experience in the construction or energy fields.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects with budgets over $5 million.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is required.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and standards for environmental compliance.
• Experience coordinating utility interconnection requirements and obtaining regulatory approvals.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring junior project managers or coordinators.
• Advanced skills in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
• Experience in risk/change management and mitigation strategies.
• Strong financial acumen, including skills in forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel (50%+); must be capable of operating a company vehicle and/or flying commercially.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 3–4 hours continuously.
• Exposure to various climates, noise levels, energized electrical equipment, overhead hazards, and heavy machinery.
