This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the deployment and execution of projects that support GE Vernova's small modular reactors (SMR).
• Assist the Project Director in the planning and execution of contracts related to SMR design and construction projects globally.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, maintaining accountability for profit and loss, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and communicate the Project Risk Register, actively mitigating project risks.
• Participate in and support project kickoff meetings with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Help organize the project cost structure using Oracle ERP.
• Develop and maintain project rosters, monitoring the completion of project-related training.
• Create and distribute the Project Work Plan, along with related project plans and procedures.
• Facilitate the implementation of project plans and procedures within the project team.
• Administer and configure project documentation effectively.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export control regulations and other relevant requirements.
• Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools.
• Coordinate project activities, monitoring and controlling progress on deliverables.
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records in accordance with the Project Configuration Management Plan.
• Ensure that project deliverables align with contract and project requirements.
• Lead, draft, and distribute notes from project management meetings, action-item lists, and progress reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• Minimum of 3 years managing medium to large-scale projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• U.S. remote eligibility for highly qualified candidates.
• Ability to secure authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information, if necessary.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, as required.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Master of Business Administration is preferred.
• PMP Certification is desirable.
• Experience in the nuclear power industry, particularly in operations or engineering, is preferred.
• Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design is advantageous.
• Experience in commercial negotiations is preferred.
• Familiarity with working in a matrixed environment is desirable.
• Proven ability to anticipate and resolve complex issues is desirable.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers, and team members is preferred.
• Skill in distilling complex information and focusing on essential priorities is desirable.
• Ability to make swift and accurate decisions based on available information is preferred.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are desirable.
• Proven ability to lead programs and projects is preferred.
