This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the deployment and execution of projects that support GE Vernova's small modular reactors (SMR).
• Assist the Project Director in planning and executing contracts for SMR design and construction initiatives globally.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while managing accountability for profit and loss, as well as customer satisfaction.
• Maintain the Project Risk Register to effectively communicate and mitigate project risks.
• Engage in and support project kickoff meetings with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Aid in organizing the project cost structure within Oracle ERP.
• Create and sustain a project roster and track the completion of project-related training.
• Develop and issue the Project Work Plan, along with related project plans and procedures.
• Facilitate the execution of project plans and procedures across the project team.
• Manage and configure project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. export control and other relevant requirements.
• Assist in the development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools.
• Coordinate project activities and track progress on deliverables.
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records.
• Confirm that project deliverables meet contract and project specifications.
• Lead, draft, and distribute meeting notes from project management sessions, action item lists, and progress reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• At least 3 years of experience managing medium- to large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Highly qualified U.S. remote eligible candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government, if necessary.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering or Master of Business Administration.
• Preferred: PMP Certification.
• Preferred: Experience in the nuclear power industry in operations or engineering.
• Preferred: Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design.
• Preferred: Experience with commercial negotiations.
• Preferred: Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Proven capability to lead programs and projects.
• Aptitude for anticipating and resolving complex issues.
• Capacity to influence stakeholders and foster trust.
• Skill in simplifying complex information and concentrating on critical priorities.
