Senior Project Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of activities.

• Facilitate team ceremonies and collaborative working sessions.

• Maintain and manage delivery dashboards and reporting processes.

• Appropriately escalate risks and issues as they arise.

• Ensure that testing and validation activities are thoroughly completed.

• Manage contributions from vendors and partners when applicable.

• Develop and implement stakeholder communication and engagement strategies.

• Facilitate decision reviews, trade-off discussions, and forums for issue resolution among stakeholders.

• Monitor stakeholder sentiment and proactively address concerns.

• Ensure stakeholders are aware of the delivery implications of changes and risks.

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery for assigned business initiatives.

• Convert objectives into actionable plans and milestones.

• Manage trade-offs regarding scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

• Coordinate across teams while managing dependencies effectively.

• Identify, evaluate, and resolve delivery risks and issues.

• Ensure transparency regarding delivery progress and overall health.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align expectations.

• Drive corrective actions when delivery is at risk.

• Own the stakeholder experience during the delivery phase for assigned initiatives.

• Establish and uphold clear expectations concerning scope, timelines, risks, and trade-offs.

• Maintain stakeholder confidence through transparent and proactive communication.

• Actively manage stakeholder issues that may affect delivery outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in leading business or cross-functional projects, demonstrating ownership of results.

• Previous experience in the financial services sector or another regulated industry is highly preferred.

• Strong working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships across various business areas or divisions.

• Project management certification, such as PMP, is preferred but not mandatory.

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills suitable for executive-level interactions.

• Ability to identify unclear roles, responsibilities, and decision rights, and facilitate discussions to resolve and document them.

• Knowledge of effective decision-making techniques and frameworks.

• Ability to build cohesive teams and encourage communication across programs and portfolios.

• Successful candidates will need to undergo employment verification and background checks.

• Verification of job titles and employment dates with two prior employers is required.
