Senior Project Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive project cost estimates, which encompass conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates for all projects.

• Execute conceptual engineering designs and create preliminary construction plans to aid in estimating scope quantification.

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect and assess project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.

• Conduct value engineering analyses to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and adherence to project requirements.

• Perform risk assessments and devise contingency plans to address potential project uncertainties.

• Present cost estimates and value engineering alternatives to senior management, project partners, and clients.

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and optimize value.

• Monitor project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, revising estimates in response to changes in scope, design, or market conditions.

• Lead and generate estimates, formulate pricing models, and assess new technological innovations within the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in project estimating, particularly in conceptual engineering and project design.

• Experience with utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure.

• Proficient in value engineering principles and methodologies.

• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.

• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project estimating and cost management.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Candidates must comply with applicable United States export control requirements.
