This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
β’ Oversee the daily internal operations of the Cyclops solid rocket motor development.
β’ Maintain comprehensive internal schedules, resource plans, critical paths constrained by resources, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Manage internal priorities and the development process while ensuring technical rigor is upheld.
β’ Collaborate with the Program Manager to assist with external obligations, contractual milestones, and program reporting.
β’ Facilitate and monitor engineering discussions, trade studies, design modifications, and integration strategies.
β’ Identify and resolve obstacles, expedite hardware development, and ensure configuration stability.
β’ Assist in integration and test operations by ensuring that engineering artifacts, procedures, and configurations are prepared.
β’ Monitor and communicate risks, schedule determinants, and technical dependencies.
β’ Ensure alignment with systems engineering requirements, architecture, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and verification processes.
β’ Support chief engineering efforts and escalate issues impacting reliability, safety, or mission readiness.
β’ Develop scalable project management processes, templates, and execution models for forthcoming programs.
β’ Collaborate with chief engineering, responsible engineers, systems engineering, and mission assurance to safeguard technical integrity and development speed.
β’ US person status is required, including US citizens, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted U.S. asylum status, or those admitted under U.S. refugee status.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience in complex aerospace or defense development.
β’ A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering project management, integration leadership, or technical project execution.
β’ Proven experience in coordinating engineering teams, managing schedules, and driving technical development cycles.
β’ Strong background in engineering workflow management, development planning, and coordinating cross-functional technical efforts.
β’ Established ability to function effectively in fast-paced environments that blend private investment-driven development with government testing requirements.
β’ Capability to interpret engineering artifacts, requirements, and configurations, translating them into actionable schedules and resource plans.
β’ Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
β’ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with chief engineering, systems engineering, and mission assurance.
β’ Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
β’ Proficient in using a computer and communicating effectively in person, via telepresence, and over the phone.
β’ Willingness to travel between Long Wall sites as required.
β’ Preferred: Experience in solid rocket motor development, integration, manufacturing, testing, and readiness.
β’ Preferred: Experience in supporting missile defense, launch vehicle development, aerospace hardware integration, or other complex technical systems.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with requirements flow-down, verification planning, ICD management, and configuration control.
β’ Preferred: Previous experience in a hybrid program environment.
β’ Preferred: Working knowledge of project management tools for scheduling, risk management, and engineering tracking.
