Senior Project Engineer, DevSecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture and operation of multi-tenant cloud services, focusing on availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Manage the secure, containerized edge operating system along with the zero-touch provisioning process for field devices.

• Design and maintain CI/CD, build, and release infrastructure, ensuring reliable artifact management and environment stability.

• Oversee the security posture across cloud environments, edge devices, and the software supply chain, including management of signing and secrets.

• Lead efforts for audit and certification preparedness for the platform, encompassing evidence collection and control ownership.

• Drive initiatives for cloud cost reduction through architectural improvements and optimization, with specific measurable targets.

• Define access permissions for agents in build, deploy, and production systems, along with establishing review checkpoints.

• Report directly to the Director of Software Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent amount of relevant work experience is required.

• Legal authorization to work in the US is mandatory.

• Must possess the willingness and capability to work without visa sponsorship, either now or in the future.

• Typically requires 8+ years of applicable experience in a software product development setting.

• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

• Proven experience in architecting and managing multi-tenant cloud services in a production environment.

• Demonstrated capability in owning CI/CD and release infrastructure for a product that is actively shipped.

• In-depth knowledge of AWS or Azure, infrastructure as code, containerization, and orchestration.

• Experience with immutable or containerized Linux operating on edge devices, including strategies for updates and rollbacks.

• Familiarity with device provisioning at scale, covering aspects such as identity, attestation, and zero-touch onboarding.

• Proven ownership of a security certification or audit program, such as SOC 2, IEC 62443, or similar.

• Experience in software supply chain security, including areas such as signing, SBOM, and ensuring dependency and artifact integrity.

• Demonstrated success in cloud cost optimization, with quantifiable outcomes.
