This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the technical onboarding and implementation of new client environments.
• Design, implement, and document secure technical solutions for client infrastructures.
• Create and execute technical work plans, implementation strategies, and client transition approaches.
• Construct and configure cloud SaaS solutions, virtual servers, networking hardware, desktops, laptops, and various business technologies.
• Conduct assessments of cloud, infrastructure, security, and technology and offer recommendations.
• Deliver projects related to infrastructure, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and applications.
• Proactively identify project risks, technical dependencies, and obstacles.
• Communicate project updates regarding technical strategy, progress, adjustments, risks, and next steps.
• Engage in client-facing meetings, technical discovery sessions, project reviews, and implementation discussions.
• Address client inquiries and provide technical guidance throughout onboarding and project lifecycles.
• Act as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for engineers and clients.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical implementation challenges.
• Investigate, assess, design, and test technologies that support client goals and technology strategy.
• Enhance implementation efficiency and scalability through automation, scripting, documentation, and tool usage.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation, project records, procedures, and information about client environments.
• Provide cross-training, coaching, mentoring, and skill development for Project Engineers, Systems Engineers, and interns.
• Adhere to technical standards, security protocols, documentation expectations, and change-control procedures.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
• 3–5 years of relevant IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or project engineering.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to technical implementations, infrastructure projects, client migrations, or onboarding initiatives for new clients.
• Strong background in end-user and desktop support with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and home or remote-office networking.
• Experience with implementing and supporting Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Intune, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Box, Dropbox, or similar solutions.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, identity management, and email-flow troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure licensing.
• Experience with enterprise networking equipment, including Palo Alto or Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches, and Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti wireless access points.
• Strong comprehension of TCP/IP, LAN, DMZ, WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing protocols, switching, and firewalls.
• Experience with implementing and supporting cybersecurity and email-security products such as Mimecast, Sophos, Symantec, Proofpoint, or comparable technologies.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, or similar tools to automate Microsoft 365 administration and implementation tasks.
• Ability to evaluate technical environments, identify risks or gaps, and suggest practical solutions.
• Capacity to create and execute technical project plans while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting while maintaining collaboration.
• Availability to work during Eastern Time business hours.
• Capability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a Managed Service Provider environment is a plus.
• Background in supporting financial services, hedge funds, investment management, or alternative investment clients is a plus.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet, and Capital IQ is desirable.
• Experience in designing or supporting public-cloud environments is advantageous.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
• Experience as a technical lead, escalation point, or mentor is desirable.
