This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage an intricate, multi-faceted program from start to finish in collaboration with an external client.
• Implement program controls and monitor milestones across various projects.
• Actively identify and address program-level risks and challenges.
• Set up technical, architectural, and delivery governance structures.
• Drive stakeholder engagement, ranging from C-suite executives to delivery teams and clients.
• Guarantee the realization of benefits by ensuring deliverables meet planned outcomes and quality benchmarks.
• Take ownership of the program roadmap, controls, cadence, KPIs/OKRs, and standardized reporting/compliance.
• Coordinate project managers, vendors, and client teams across different workstreams, schedules, resources, and interdependencies.
• Oversee personnel, budgets, technological resources, program ROI, and outcomes.
• Maintain centralized risk registers and develop contingency plans.
• Provide clear updates suitable for executive review.
• Customize communications for executives and delivery teams.
• Facilitate change control processes to keep teams aligned and engaged.
• Standardize and implement processes and templates.
• Lead intricate programs from design to execution by utilizing process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Address scope changes, delays, resource conflicts, and stakeholder disagreements.
• Over 10 years of program management experience.
• Proven experience overseeing multi-stream projects with globally distributed teams, including teams of over 50 members and multiple project managers.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification is required.
• A Master’s degree and relevant certifications are preferred.
• Capability to create WBS/dependency maps and standardize processes.
• Experience in maintaining program charters, risk logs, and other essential documentation.
• Proficient in MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, and a PPM tool like Mavenlink/Kantata.
• Ability to develop dashboards and status reports.
• Experience in aligning roadmaps with contractual/business objectives and facilitating benefits realization.
• Familiarity with proactive RAID management, PMI-style risk frameworks, and contingency planning.
• Excellent executive communication skills, RACI knowledge, conflict resolution capabilities, and high emotional intelligence leadership across distributed teams.
• Demonstrated experience in managing program budgets, expenditures, cost adjustments, and complex financial models involving Fixed Price, T&M, milestone-based payments, revenue recognition, fixed monthly fees, and expense recovery.
• Experience in budget ownership and resource planning and leading change control initiatives.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Familiarity with application modernization is preferred; exposure to IBM i modernization is a plus.
• Experience with hybrid Agile-Waterfall methodologies in large-scale programs.
• Proficient in developing governance frameworks, including steering committees or compliance processes.
• Strong negotiation skills are required.
• Experience working with C-Suite stakeholders.
• Ability to tackle unexpected challenges with innovative and structured solutions.
• Capability to develop and implement process engineering and continuous improvement practices.
