Senior Programmer Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations, administration, and support of enterprise QA and testing platforms.

• Serve as the main contact for vendor relationships, managing issue resolution, service assessments, contract renewals, and discussions regarding product roadmaps.

• Organize platform upgrades, enhancements, patches, and release activities, ensuring minimal operational risk and disruption.

• Assist in QA operational processes, including test planning, defect management, requirements traceability, reporting, and integration workflows.

• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to collect requirements, prioritize tasks, and execute platform enhancements.

• Track system performance, availability, and usage while pinpointing opportunities for optimization and automation.

• Support governance activities, including documentation, process compliance, reporting, and audit requirements.

• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams to guarantee platform stability and compliance with enterprise standards.

• Assess new tools, technologies, and vendor offerings, providing recommendations to meet business goals.

• Offer leadership, knowledge sharing, and subject matter expertise while promoting continuous improvement initiatives across the QA and testing ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology Management, or a related discipline.

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation test development utilizing modern automation frameworks and tools.

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.

• Familiarity with Node.js, Git/GitLab, and Oracle RDBMS.

• Experience with Selenium, Selenium JS, WebdriverIO, Protractor, and Cucumber.

• Practical application of BDD, TDD, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Background in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated testing solutions within Agile delivery frameworks.

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience overseeing QA operational processes and tool administration, including JIRA, ConnectALL, and ALM.

• Experience in developing automated tests for web applications, REST services, and transaction-based systems.

• Understanding of Agile and iterative software development methodologies.

• Familiarity with XML, JSON, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks and libraries.

• Knowledge of Lean Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery best practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively with minimal supervision.

• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs, and microservice architecture.

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.

• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Understanding of secure coding practices and modern software design patterns.

• Background in mentoring developers or QA automation professionals.

• Experience integrating various testing tools and frameworks.

• Working knowledge of Docker, Swarm, or Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required; proficiency in French (spoken and written) is considered an asset.

• Must be eligible to obtain Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B).

• Must complete Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, and Credit Check.

• Must have resided in Canada for a minimum of five years.

• Must hold Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizenship status.
