This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of, oversee, and consistently enhance product backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with product strategy.
• Convert strategic initiatives and discovery insights into comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure backlog items are properly sized, sequenced, and ready for implementation.
• Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning with a high degree of autonomy.
• Assist in delivering complex or high-impact initiatives.
• Contribute to release planning and manage dependencies across teams.
• Provide clarity on intricate requirements and edge cases to the development team.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles to enhance team flow and delivery efficiency.
• Support and mentor Product Specialists.
• Validate work against acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done.
• Assist and guide QA and UAT processes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations, and navigate conflicting priorities.
• Facilitate discussions on requirements, challenge assumptions, and promote clarity.
• Communicate progress on delivery, risks, and trade-offs.
• Analyze product performance, delivery metrics, and team effectiveness.
• Suggest and implement enhancements to processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Contribute to scaling consistent product practices across teams.
• Serve as a recognized subject matter expert within the relevant domain.
• Utilize domain expertise to shape solutions, influence prioritization, and enhance product design.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Ensure that solutions reflect industry best practices and provide significant customer value.
• Extensive experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Specialist in an agile environment.
• Proven track record of managing complex backlogs and delivering high-quality results.
• Profound understanding of agile practices and their practical implementation in delivery teams.
• In-depth and demonstrable expertise within the pertinent industry domain.
• Experience working closely with customers or within the industry in a hands-on role.
• Ability to leverage domain knowledge to address complex challenges and enhance product outcomes.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulatory, commercial, or operational factors.
• Acknowledged as a go-to expert for domain-specific knowledge and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, particularly in complex or ambiguous situations.
• Capability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without formal authority.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Design, and customer-facing teams.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of handling intricate scenarios.
• Proficient in using data, insights, and experience to guide decisions and recommendations.
• Strong commitment to quality, with experience in ensuring robust acceptance criteria and delivery standards.
• Ability to balance delivery speed with completeness and usability.
• Experience in enhancing team delivery practices and outcomes.
• Strong familiarity with product and delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
• Comfortable working with technical teams and understanding system architecture, constraints, and dependencies.
