This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop, train, and provide support to distributor personnel serving collision shop clients.
• Offer product and technical assistance for new products, available training, and value-added programs.
• Oversee new customer installations, train and certify painters, and resolve technical issues.
• Facilitate refinisher meetings, lunch and learn sessions, WOW events, and counter clinics.
• Advocate for safe product application and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Assist with market activities and work in conjunction with the market sales team.
• Complete ongoing training, assessments, and certifications related to Axalta brands and technologies.
• Utilize Axalta paint and material account management tools to support key accounts.
• Strengthen Axalta’s technical support network with shop personnel.
• Manage selling expenses within the allocated budget.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and association activities.
• Document progress and collaborate with colleagues and other resources to fulfill customer needs.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and travel throughout the Northern Illinois area.
• High School Diploma is preferred.
• At least 5 years of industry experience.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• Proficient computer skills with effective use of email, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of body shop operations and application equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication capabilities.
• Ability to function effectively as a valued member of a high-performance sales team.
• Skills in selling, influencing, and negotiating with customers.
• Good interpersonal skills and respect for the diverse backgrounds of individuals.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor across all organizational levels.
• Business acumen and a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to network internally and with clients.
• Active listening skills and the capability to interpret customer needs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Local residency in the Illinois surrounding area.
