Senior Product Manager – vMetal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Align business objectives with the technical direction for vMetal and convert them into actionable engineering specifications.

• Collaborate directly with the Head of Product and engineering leadership to navigate product trade-offs.

• Manage alpha and beta builds, ensuring validation with actual bare metal hardware whenever feasible.

• Proactively identify integration challenges before they reach customers.

• Engage directly with platform engineers at AI Cloud operators and hyperscalers who operate bare metal at scale.

• Monitor the bare metal and GPU infrastructure ecosystem.

• Refine product positioning for technical buyers and collaborate with go-to-market teams on messaging strategies.

• Serve as a liaison between engineering, sales, and marketing to synchronize product delivery with sales and support efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product management within cloud infrastructure, bare metal, or GPU/HPC platforms.

• Successfully launched a product utilized by other engineers in production environments.

• Strong understanding of bare metal provisioning processes.

• Familiarity with out-of-band server management protocols, including Redfish and IPMI.

• Knowledge of PXE boot processes.

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, controllers, CRDs, and the operator pattern.

• Capability to engage in credible technical discussions with engineers.

• Experience collaborating with platform engineers and architects.

• Bonus: Experience in developing a Kubernetes-as-a-Service offering.

• Bonus: Experience in platform product management, focusing on internal developer platforms.
