This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead intricate product initiatives throughout the underwriting process, from problem identification to launch and implementation.
• Collaborate with clients and underwriters to define platform capabilities, rigorously test features, and create the product roadmap.
• Utilize AI tools and agentic workflows for discovery, synthesis, roadmap communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Convert carrier requirements and regulatory constraints into actionable product specifications.
• Create and sustain product roadmaps that align with the company's strategic goals.
• Exemplify AI-native working practices and contribute to the collective knowledge base.
• Discover opportunities for enhancement by observing underwriting workflows, analyzing data, gathering client feedback, and conducting competitive analysis.
• Articulate the product vision, strategy, and outcomes to stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior product managers.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management.
• Practical experience in life insurance, preferably within or related to underwriting.
• Knowledge of evidence requirements, APS and lab data, carrier guidelines, and underwriting judgment processes.
• Experience in developing solutions for expert users who make critical decisions where accuracy and auditability are crucial.
• Capability to oversee multiple projects across an entire product area.
• Proven history of delivering successful products that achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Regular use of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, or comparable alternatives.
• Experience in user research, usability testing, and UI/UX design principles for complex systems.
• Proficient in building and managing personal context systems for AI tools.
• Strong analytical skills utilizing product analytics tools and business intelligence solutions.
• Insight into AI as a partner in reasoning, rather than merely a search mechanism.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and incomplete information.
• A perspective on how AI transforms the role of product managers.
• Must reside within the contiguous 48 states of the United States.
