This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for Ezurio's integrated Single Board Computer portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize new standard SBC opportunities in the industrial, defense, aerospace, and medical sectors.
• Establish the integration strategy across SBC portfolios, encompassing form factors and processor platforms.
• Manage competitive positioning against SBC, System on Module (SOM), rugged, and defense suppliers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on the SBC software strategy, Board Support Package (BSP) support, software lifecycle commitments, and alignment of platform roadmaps.
• Act as the primary commercial and technical owner for sustaining requests related to shipped custom and standard SBCs.
• Lead the intake and review of sustaining requests, evaluating scope and impact.
• Determine which customer relationships to continue supporting and which to transition to end-of-life or last-time buy statuses.
• Define commercial terms for sustaining engagements, including re-qualification costs, notice periods, and customer approval processes.
• Manage customer communication and formally acknowledge Product Change Notices that affect sustained boards.
• Oversee commercial qualifications and business cases for new custom SBC programs from the request stage through quoting and award.
• Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for custom program engagements.
• Collaborate with Engineering program management from initiation through sustaining phases.
• Work alongside engineering leadership to ensure visibility on schedule, budget, and risks.
• Represent the status of SBC sustaining and custom programs in quarterly business reviews and updates for leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment among sales, engineering, operations, and customer success teams.
• Function as the direct technical and commercial interface for key sustaining and custom program accounts.
• Strong hardware background with practical knowledge of hardware design, PCB design cycles, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and hardware manufacturing processes.
• In-depth working knowledge of NXP and Texas Instruments processor platforms as they pertain to single board computers.
• Direct experience in custom hardware co-development programs, including statements of work, quoting, and change orders.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional decisions across sales, engineering, operations, and customer success.
• Experience in managing sustaining and end-of-life decisions for a mature installed customer base.
• A history of establishing processes and ownership structures in ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environments.
• Technically credible with engineering on hardware matters and commercially credible with sales and executive leadership.
• Commercial acumen in balancing long-term customer partnerships with sound commercial and contractual decisions.
• Capacity to independently translate ambiguous business requirements into clear decisions, operational cadence, and follow-through.
• 8+ years of cumulative experience in product management, hardware engineering, or technical program management within embedded computing, SBC/SOM, or industrial electronics.
• Experience in medical, defense, aerospace, industrial, or other long-lifecycle, high-reliability markets.
• Familiarity with AS9100D or similar quality systems.
• Experience integrating acquired product lines or brands into an existing portfolio.
• Knowledge of SMARC and/or OSM form factors and their respective ecosystems.
• Background that combines hardware engineering with product or commercial roles, such as former hardware engineer, Field Application Engineer (FAE), or program manager transitioned to product management.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
• Remote work options available for candidates located on the West Coast.
