
Senior Product Manager, Research Solutions β SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the product strategy, roadmap, and priorities for a critical area in research administration.
β’ Conduct customer discovery to gain insights into institutional workflows, challenges, compliance needs, and emerging demands.
β’ Transform customer insights, market trends, competitive intelligence, and data into actionable product opportunities.
β’ Collaborate with engineering and design teams from discovery to delivery, defining requirements and measurable success criteria.
β’ Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, configurability, usability, and AI-driven capabilities.
β’ Work alongside sales, marketing, customer success, and other teams to facilitate launches, drive adoption, and improve customer outcomes.
β’ Establish and monitor product health, adoption, engagement, and customer value metrics.
β’ Effectively communicate product strategy and priorities to both internal teams and external customer stakeholders.
β’ Foster continuous improvement through experimentation, customer feedback, and data-informed decision-making.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in product management, with substantial ownership of complex SaaS products.
β’ Familiarity with research administration via a software provider catering to this market or within a university or research institution.
β’ In-depth understanding of research-related workflows, including sponsored programs, grants administration, compliance, research operations, or similar areas.
β’ Proven track record in developing product strategies and translating them into actionable roadmaps.
β’ Strong product discovery capabilities and experience engaging directly with customers.
β’ Experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams.
β’ A curious, resourceful, and self-motivated approach to tackling complex challenges.
β’ Excellent analytical skills and comfort in utilizing data to guide decisions.
β’ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to distill complex problems into simpler concepts and influence stakeholders across various functions and levels.
β’ Proven success in distributed, cross-functional environments.
β’ Background in higher education technology or enterprise workflow software.
β’ Experience in developing highly configurable products or workflow-driven platforms.
β’ Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, security, and accessibility requirements pertinent to higher education institutions.
β’ Experience in integrating AI-enabled functionality into established SaaS products.
β’ Experience working with complex enterprise customers and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
β’ Educational background, certification, or training in product management related to AI and emerging technologies.
