Senior Product Manager, POS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy, discovery, and implementation for HungerRush’s primary POS platform.

• Enhance the platform’s technical infrastructure to enable the team to develop more efficiently while ensuring reliability for thousands of active restaurants.

• Function within HungerRush’s product operating framework, collaborating daily with engineering and design teams.

• Utilize real-time usage data and business outcomes to address customer challenges.

• Engage in ongoing discovery through customer interviews and on-site observations.

• Balance speed and quality while ensuring excellence in execution.

• Establish and uphold the strategic roadmap for the core POS product.

• Manage platform modernization, pricing, packaging, investment priorities, and ongoing customer value.

• Collaborate with engineering on modernization, deprecation, and restructuring decisions.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the POS workflows of restaurant operators and staff.

• Conduct market research and perform competitive analyses.

• Leverage customer insights and data to guide product decisions and sequencing.

• Prioritize features and platform initiatives with stakeholders based on customer requirements and business objectives.

• Employ AI tools for research synthesis, data analysis, specification documentation, and prototyping.

• Identify opportunities for AI-enhanced POS capabilities, such as transaction-level anomaly detection and automated operator recommendations.

• Oversee go-to-market strategies for new POS functionalities, encompassing positioning, messaging, and launch planning.

• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams on rollout schedules.

• Partner with engineering leadership to make architectural decisions and shape technical direction.

• Coordinate with product teams and departments for cross-team planning initiatives.

• Communicate the roadmap, trade-offs, and progress to Product leadership, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

• Inspire teams around the product vision and strategy.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager in the SaaS industry, ideally within the restaurant technology or POS sectors.

• Significant hands-on experience conducting customer interviews and discovery research.

• Strong empathy for users and the capability to translate insights into product decisions.

• Familiarity with UX/UI best practices.

• Preference for delivering small updates and validating quickly rather than large-scale releases.

• Experience in platform modernization, including transforming a legacy system into a modern, scalable architecture.

• Knowledge of the data foundation required to support reliable reporting and future AI-driven functionalities.

• Understanding of how to sequence modernization efforts based on business impact analysis.

• Proficient in establishing measurable goals (OKRs, KPIs).

• Skilled in utilizing product analytics to inform decision-making.

• Familiar with AI tools for research synthesis, specification generation, data analysis, and prototyping.

• Experience in delivering AI-powered features in a live product environment.

• Demonstrated ability to transition between long-term platform strategy and hands-on execution.

• Proven track record of successfully launching products.

• Strong commercial judgment regarding pricing and investment trade-offs.

• Exceptional prioritization skills and product judgment.

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to build trust and partnerships with engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Proficient in articulating product value and positioning to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to align and motivate teams through significant technical transformations.

• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
